Hi, I’m DU

I explore the relationship between geometric and organic forms, viewing my creative practice as an ongoing dialogue between the two. Through the interplay of form, space, and materiality, I investigate a multitude of possibilities, allowing my concepts to flow, overlap, and evolve.
Experimentation and iteration lie at the core of my creative process; within this framework, the act of "making" itself becomes a mode of expression—one concerned with form, light and shadow, and proportion—ultimately manifesting in a clear, lucid aesthetic. Employing a subtractive approach to creation, I strive to craft spaces and objects that are simultaneously intuitive and layered, thereby conveying a sense of serene balance and tranquil beauty.
Architecture and interior design are not merely about making a space look aesthetically pleasing – they are about the feelings the space evokes in people and the historical memories it carries. It concerns how the room fits the human scale, how it guides your movement, and how it subtly influences your emotions over time.
Space is not static; it constantly evolves with changes in light and shadow and with the passage of time. Therefore, excellent design is not just about what you “see” – it is also about what you “feel” and what you “remember”.
