Rising and Growing

Architectural & Interior Design - Capstone - 2026

Located in the remote, high-altitude Qionglai Mountains of Sichuan Province, China, the area faces significant infrastructure challenges. According to staff from the Qionglai Nature Reserve, access to stable water, electricity, and network systems remains limited, while transportation is highly vulnerable to rain, snow, and geological disasters. Because rescued giant pandas are often found far from existing rescue facilities, staff members frequently need to travel deep into the mountains on foot. In response, this project proposes a resource rescue station within the nature reserve that can connect multiple surrounding areas and provide timely medical care for pandas in need. Beyond wildlife rescue, the station also supports daily living, cultural activities, and recreational spaces for staff, creating a sustainable environment for long-term conservation work.
